Pastor Melanie Butler is the Co-Founder of Living Water Christian Center Church (LWC3) located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She was born in the Republic of Panama while her father was serving in the United States Army at Fort Kobbe. She is one of three children born to Judy and James Dent, and as an infant, the family relocated to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where she was educated in the Department of Defense (DoD) and Cumberland County Schools Systems.
On February 17, 1989, while in her sophomore year of college at Fayetteville State University (FSU), she met her husband of thirty-two (32) plus years, Pastor John L. Butler, whom she later married on July 20, 1991, at a ceremony celebrated on Fort Bragg. Pastor Melanie is an Ordained Elder, dynamic teacher, cancer survivor, and awesome communicator of the word of God. Her ability to enthusiastically present the word of God in a practical manner, along with life experiences, is life-changing and has impacted women of all ages. She is a diligent student of the word who passionately embraces the Biblical tenants of a Leader, Mother, Wife, and motivator.
She has a love for God’s word and a desire for the women of God to achieve their greatest potential through the practical application of the word in their everyday lives. Her teachings bring a clear understanding of biblical truths with an emphasis on walking in victory in every circumstance of life. She also oversees the LWC3 women’s ministry, which sponsors workshops, meetings, and fellowships to mentor women and build strong families.
Pastor Melanie is a graduate of Fayetteville State University (FSU), located in Fayetteville, N.C., and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BA) with a concentration in finance. Pastor Melanie is currently a student at Liberty University (LU) pursuing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling.
She is the proud mother of four wonderful God-sent children, Brittany, Joshua, Jacob, and Jemiah, and three wonderful grandchildren, Noah James Wilson, Tristan Zeke Wilson, and Kaleia Jade Butler.
